MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that runs as an extension on many internet browsers, including Google Chrome. Follow these steps to install the MetaMask Chrome extension:
Open your Google Chrome browser and navigate to the Chrome Web Store. Use the search bar to find "MetaMask."
Locate the MetaMask extension from the search results and click on "Add to Chrome." A confirmation dialog will appear, click “Add extension” to proceed.
After installation, the MetaMask icon will appear in the top right corner of your browser. Click on it to open the extension. You will be prompted to either create a new wallet or import an existing one. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your MetaMask wallet.
Always double-check the URL of the Chrome Web Store page to ensure it's the legitimate MetaMask extension.
Remember to keep your wallet's recovery phrase in a secure location. This phrase is the only way to recover your wallet if you forget your password.
